You need to be a Slack Administrator to perform this procedure. If you are not a Slack Administrator, please work with your IT department. The most straightfoward approach is perhaps by giving administration privilege for appropriate Slack workspace to the person in your team as that is acting as the Dagknows Admin.

To create a Slack application for Dagknows:

Log into https://api.slack.com/
Click on the text “Your app” in the top right-hand corner of the header
Click on the “Create New App” button
Click on the “From an app manifest” option
Select the appropriate workspace and click the Next button
Click on JSON. Highlight and delete everything in the text field.
Copy and paste the below text into that field

Change the URL in 3 places (redirect_urls, event_subscriptions, interactivity). Replace REPLACE-ME with your hostname, and replace YOURORG with the name of your org / tenant.
Click Next and then click Create
Dismiss other dialogs (You should be on the "Basic Information" tab)
Click on the "Install to Workspace" button
Select appropriate channel and click on Allow
On the left side, click on “Basic Information”. On this page, you can find:
Client ID
Client Secret
Signing Secret
Copy these information into a temporary note pad and label them appropriately
On the left-hand side, click on OAuth & Permissions. Copy the bot token into the note pad and label it. The bot token begins with xoxb
For Dagknows Admin:
Sign into Dagknows using your account
Navigate to the DagKnows integration page.
Click on the Communication tab
Click on the toggle switch next to Slack Integration
Provide the Bot token and Signing secret, and click on Save
Click on Authentication Tools
Click on the toggle button next to Slack Sign-in
Provide Client ID, Client Secret, and appropriate value for Allowed Email Domains, and click Save
Navigate to the Adjust Settings page, and turn on the "Create SSO users if not already existed" option if appropriate
For Slack Admin:
Click on "App Manifest"
Click on "Click here to verify" at the top. If this link is not there, click on Event Subscriptions (on the left), check the value for "Request URL" and click on the "Retry" button.
For Dagknows Admin: If you are the one testing Slack integration, because your email is already exists in Dagknows, that is ok, but if your email does not exist in Dagknows, please add a new user with that email. If you want someone else to test the Slack integration, please add that person to Dagknows first using the user management screen. Make sure that this user has appropriate proxy role assigned as well.
Go to the appropriate Slack channel, invite the Dagknows bot, and mention the bot in appropriate conversation.
